I guess I should probably start writing again.

I guess I better get going, because so much has happened since the last time I updated. I don’t know where I should start though.

This summer I only went to one horse show. It was very fun, and my first show in the main ring. I did amazing schooling with Katie, exept for when I fell off and broke the fence. oops. Once it had been fixed, I started again and was fine. Showing was pretty good, Alaska spooked at a fence because she had to jump into shadows, but I got her over every other time. We only got one 6th place ribbon, but I was proud of myself and got several reserves from the judge.

On another riding note, I went to the chiropracter and my back has been feeling much better and I’m riding pain-free, which has made so much of a difference in being able to ride correctly.

Marching band has also started, and band camp was very fun, except that I was sick for the first couple of days. I ended up puking at arby’s, and once in the dorm after breakfast. Aside from that, our show got put together very well, mostly due to the fact that our director changed the way she teaches. It’s nice to actually be good at our show, but seriously,  I don’t think she had to change everything that was possible. I hate it, and so do a lot of other people.

I also dyed my hair purple after waiting the whole summer for the blue to wash out. I would have a picture, but my computer is being very annoying and not letting me upload it.

We also went to Arizona, and that was very fun. We spent a lot of time just around Nanny’s house, and explored a creek we never had been to before. We also spent a lot of time kayaking and on the quads, which I got to drive a lot more this year because I have my permit. We were going to try to go to mexico, but climbing through the border had to suffice. And sadly, I don’t know if wee’ll be able to do that anymore, because there is going to be a virtual fence put in.

School starts on tuesday. I’m excited because my classes are pretty good, and this is my last year before I can go off campus to take and EFE or EFA. It will also be very cool to get to see everyone everyday, and I can’t wait for PAC to start. I’ll have cross country practice everyday after school for a while, which I actually get to run this year.

Busy, busy day.

Solo & Ensemble was on Saturday. PAC regionals were also on Saturday, so I couldn’t go to our performance, but went after S&E to see some plays and the award ceremony.

Taylor, Tyler, and I did really well on our trio. We just needed to exaggerate our dynamics more. We got a one for our trio! I was very excited. Then I had to play my solo, which was running late so I had plenty of time to warm up and get nervous. A lot of people came in and watched me, which was okay, but it made me nervous until I started playing. I did really well, I watched the video later, and I made three mistakes. The judge said the first half of my song was the best playing he’d heard all day, which was a really good confidence booster, because ever since I cut my lip, I hadn’t sounded quite as good, but in the last month or so the muscles in my mouth healed really quickly. I got a one on that too. Taylor got a one, but I didn’t get to see him play, and I don’t know what Tyler got.

Then we went to get lunch, and then right to regionals. I heard we did really well, the actors were great, scene changes were really fast and quiet, and we were finally under time(!). After all the other schools went there was a dance party in the lobby with really lame music, but still fun, and then the award ceremony. We got four excellence awards (I think) and then we had the superior awards, and almost every group got one, except for one, but I still love them and think they’re awesome. Other schools didn’t get that many, but we still got third, we missed out on second by three points. We did get a one rating though. It was a little disappointing, especially for the seniors. We still did really well everyone is proud of everyone else, so it’s okay.

After we got back Anna and I decided last minute to go to the dance at the high school, it was semi-formal and we were in our PAC clothes, so it was a little funny. We had a lot of fun and it was worth going, I only got one weird look for being in a t-shirt,

I had a pretty awesome weekend

My weekend was pretty awesome, but on Friday since we had a snow day our home show got canceled. I did get to go to Anna’s house though, which was really awesome. We just hung around and we watched a movie. After that I had a trumpet lesson, and my solo is going really well.

Saturday our show wasn’t canceled, and  it went pretty well, and afterwards Anna and I went to Paige’s house to spend the night. I am now officially addicted to a video game she has, I think it’s called Gauntlets. Then we goofed around for a while and then went to bed.

Today our show was really good. All the techies got bored and then we had a dance party on stage, with lighting effects and everything. After we got done dancing, one of the actors fell and sprained their ankle, and iced it and felt better.  Half-way through the show she got worse and I went to get her some ice, and since our stage sucks, I had to go outside to get to the part of the school with ice, and then when I got back, I had been locked out of that part of the stage, so I had to go back. She was okay though.

I just watched the half-time show, it’s the only part of the superbowl I really care about. I love Tom Petty.

yuck

I feel like crap, I’m going home after this class.

I started feeling horrible after PAC districts, which we did wonderful at. We went one minute and thirty seconds over the allowed time and we still got a one! We’ll have to win regionals to go on to state, I think we can do it, or at least give the other schools some compitition.

I hope that I didn’t get other people sick….

Sometimes I love Mistakes

I’m in Computing I class right now, apparently this website isn’t blocked. I’m enjoying this glitch immensely.

Speaking of convenient mistakes, Regionals for PAC happened to fall on the same day as solo and ensamble, not convinient, but what was really bad was that my solo is in the afternoon, which makes it more likely that I won’t be able to go. Fortunatly, Our trio was on twice, so I’m going to switch my solo to the morning later today.

For my faithful readers out there…. *chirp chirp*

Gosh, it’s been a while hasn’t it? I just never got around to blogging…. and I bet no one really reads this anymore, and honestly, I don’t blame them.

I guess school has been fine, one of my teachers went crazy and drama has been fabulous, but sadly, the semester is over so I don’t have it anymore. Now I have freshmen connection (?) with my drama teacher, and it’s a great way to begin the day, but the rest drags out. I have Algebra, Computing I, I still have band, and social studies. I generally like math, so that’s okay, and I don’t hate my teacher yet. In computing one my teacher goes way too slow, even for simple things. “Go to the start button…. put your mouse over the start button… don’t go ahead or I’ll get mad… start button…”. I’m not joking. Social studies is okay I guess, but I don’t like social studies to begin with, so I’m not sure about that, but it should be fine.

One thing that is fun is that I joined PAC, or performing arts company. At first it was just once a week learning basic lighting theory or looking at possible plays for state tour. I’m on A-team and running crew which basically means I help build sets and take sets on and off stage in between scenes. The sets look great and we’re getting really good at fast scene changes, which is really important so we don’t go over the allowed time. Our first competition is on Saturday, I’m really excited and I hope we do really well.

We had a great tech instructor who is really good at what he does and was good at teaching us how to build different things and being patient while we figured stuff out. He helped a lot and did a really good job, and he donated a lot of needed props. He was really nice and fun to be around too, but sadly he had to quit. I’m really sad, but we’ll have to on I guess.

Cross your fingers for no snow day tommarow! We can’t afford losing a day of rehearsal!
