The World According To Madeleine

I guess I better get going, because so much has happened since the last time I updated. I don’t know where I should start though.

This summer I only went to one horse show. It was very fun, and my first show in the main ring. I did amazing schooling with Katie, exept for when I fell off and broke the fence. oops. Once it had been fixed, I started again and was fine. Showing was pretty good, Alaska spooked at a fence because she had to jump into shadows, but I got her over every other time. We only got one 6th place ribbon, but I was proud of myself and got several reserves from the judge.

On another riding note, I went to the chiropracter and my back has been feeling much better and I’m riding pain-free, which has made so much of a difference in being able to ride correctly.

Marching band has also started, and band camp was very fun, except that I was sick for the first couple of days. I ended up puking at arby’s, and once in the dorm after breakfast. Aside from that, our show got put together very well, mostly due to the fact that our director changed the way she teaches. It’s nice to actually be good at our show, but seriously,  I don’t think she had to change everything that was possible. I hate it, and so do a lot of other people.

I also dyed my hair purple after waiting the whole summer for the blue to wash out. I would have a picture, but my computer is being very annoying and not letting me upload it.

We also went to Arizona, and that was very fun. We spent a lot of time just around Nanny’s house, and explored a creek we never had been to before. We also spent a lot of time kayaking and on the quads, which I got to drive a lot more this year because I have my permit. We were going to try to go to mexico, but climbing through the border had to suffice. And sadly, I don’t know if wee’ll be able to do that anymore, because there is going to be a virtual fence put in.

School starts on tuesday. I’m excited because my classes are pretty good, and this is my last year before I can go off campus to take and EFE or EFA. It will also be very cool to get to see everyone everyday, and I can’t wait for PAC to start. I’ll have cross country practice everyday after school for a while, which I actually get to run this year.

Today is earth day, and really the only thing I have to say about it is that I forgot that it was today, and I really haven’t been very festive this earth day, except for complain about other people wasting energy in this movie I saw today in computing, and then there was my teacher talking about what washing machines would be like in the future. They sound like they should take up an entire house, forcing people to tear down trees to feed their laziness, and then once they can actually use this completely unnecessary and frivolous piece of machinery, they’ll end up using as much energy to wash their clothes as an average family uses in a year.

I also hate microsoft, it’s the devil. We watched another movie about Bill Gate’s last day of work, they tried really, really hard to be funny, I could just see the strain in their eyes, just hoping, that what they say might draw a chuckle. Unfortunatly, there was a reason they work for microsoft and don’t act, so it wasn’t very funny at all. It actually just made me mad, that and the video we watched, everything new and revolutionary that would help us live our lives fuller and happier, we have on our mac, and it looks cooler. I hope their computers crash.

Oh yeah, and speaking of computers, remember when I was taking down the establishment? Anyways, gmail must have shown up in my history or something, because ever since then they’ve been recording what I’m doing, which is another mistake they made, they can’t catch me doing anything if I know I’m being watched. Way to have that icon in the corner guys. Anyway, our tech director for pac lost our email addresses, so Mr. Nott had us email him, at school, but forgot that email sites were blocked. So he gave us permission to use proxys, and I was being watched. I’m expecting that my account should be shut down tommaorw.

During spring break, the band is going to go to Florida and we’re going to march on Main Street in Disney. We have to learn our music, and not everybody is going, so we’re learning our music before school. Today was our first practice, we had to be at the school at 6:30 in the morning, I’m not a morning person, so it was interesting. However, it is an okay way to start the day, the music got my adrenaline going, so I woke up prety quikly.  Now I’m really hyper, and I’m going to crash here pretty soon.

I feel like crap, I’m going home after this class.

I started feeling horrible after PAC districts, which we did wonderful at. We went one minute and thirty seconds over the allowed time and we still got a one! We’ll have to win regionals to go on to state, I think we can do it, or at least give the other schools some compitition.

I hope that I didn’t get other people sick….

I know it’s been a while, but I just really didn’t feel like writing anything.

High school has been pretty good, but I hate the huge school, it’s way too big, and has absolutely no character whatsoever. No Murals, no art or posters on the walls, not even a trace that anyone was there. they keep saying that when we come back to the school with our kids that we’ll want it to look nice. personally though, I would rather want character, otherwise it looks like it could be any other high school in the country… or juvie. The only permanent thing in the school is a stain on the floor in science, I was so exited, but our principal was ticked off. Someone knocked over a thing of some chemical, but I can’t ermember what it was, and it leaves a brown stain that can’t be removed. I love it.

Besides that, it’s huge, and my classes are all over the school, and none of them near my locker. I never see anyone during the day, unless I practically run them over. Besides that, some genius decided that switching to a bigger school called for….. a stricter tardy policy! what else?

Some other genius decided it would be a good idea not to have an arrow on the light. They still thought it was a good idea to keep the arrow off after they sat outside drinking coffee watching us sit through, not even joking, five red lights. I just love it.

They also switched around what side the bathrooms are on, only having one entrance that branches off into two bathrooms, I’m glad that whoever built are school, and who we’re basically trusting out=r lives that the roof won’t collapse and kill us all, is so ignorant that they didn’t realize that mirror images make for switched bathroom signs.

I just love whoever decides these things.

On Christmas, it didn’t snow. Not even a little. Now, only a couple days from Easter, it’s snowing, some is even sticking. It’s supposed to snow the next couple days too. Michigan…. has the strangest weather in the world. Earlier this week I rode in a t-shirt and my head and back were sweating, the next time, it was freezing. Not cool, Michigan, not cool.

Speaking of easter, where did the easter bunny and hiding eggs come from? Think about it. Strange tradition, eh? Christmas too. Tree inside, lights outside. Then there’s Valentine’s Day, created by Hallmark. Stupid card companies.
