What happens when you stay home.

Both Mom and I were sick today, so this morning she was sleeping on the couch and I was hovering between awake and asleep. I opened up my eyes and looked at the curtain that covers our whole wall, because there wasn’t much else I could see.

As I woke up I realized that there was something on the curtain, then I began to realize what it was.

We have four cats and we still have a mouse in our house….. it even took me showing it to them to notice it, but they obviously wanted to catch it.

Doesn’t it look like someones hamster got out and bred with a mouse? It doesn’t look normal..

Music Rambling

I’m sick today, I stayed home from school yeterday and today too, I’m planning on being at school tommarow though. I think I have the flu. However, that’s not my post.

Remember last year, when I had solo and ensamble? You might not, because the only people who would know are people who know me personally or people who have been reading my blog since it was started, but then again, those are the only people who read this. Anyways, I’m doing a solo and a quartet with Taylor, Will, and Tyler. Last year I (or we) got a one (an A) for our rating. This year’s music is much harder though. I know we can do it, but I’ll (or we’ll) have to work hard, especially since we have to practice our auditions for high school band. The music is hard, and we hae to play a chromatic scale from memory the whole range of our instrument. That’s pretty high. I can play it now, as long as I’m warmed up and there’s not a big jump to it. when I’m nervous, I don’t know if I’ll be able to. I know we don’t have to play tha high, if we can’t, but I’d be mad at myself if I didn’t even try and end up being in concert band, and not in jazz band. That’s what I’m really looking forward to, is jazz band, ever since I heard them play “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder. We might be able to play it when I’m a senior, because then no one will have played it twice, but I doubt it. I’ll just have to ask. It doesn’t matter that much though, because a lot of the songs that they play are cool or pretty. I hope our group will be able to be as good, because the seniors graduating this year include some very talented musicians. I think we’ll be fine.

I don’t get it. Why is LOST so bad now? Were the writers of the first season fired? hit by cars? brainwashed? LOST has been bad for a while now, but last week’s episode was just horrible. It was pointless, we found almost nothing out, well, except how Jack got his tattoo, that Kate feels guilty and wants to go back for Jack, Alex’s boyfriend what’s-his-face is a sissy, and Bai Ling should never be let to act again, or be seen in public for that matter. I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to be in two more episodes, although I’m not sure whose flashback’s she’s going to be in the next two times, since when I googled it I found out (sorry, I’m not sure where) that last weeks episode was Jack’s last flashback of the season. What she’s going to do in the flashbacks I don’t know either, but last episode she played the part as a skanky tattoo artist-psychic that falls in love with Jack. Two more episodes… that just ticks me off. She can’t act, she can’t dress herself properly. If you need to slouch to keep your dress on, or keep you in your dress, you need to seriously reconsider wearing it. Especially if it’s going to be watched by lots of people who probably don’t want to see that much of Bai Ling. Or anyone. Couldn’t they have hired someone else? Someone who knows better than to dress like Bai Ling? Or why not just have the costume designers design something else? Did they think that having her in the show would boost ratings? I don’t think it helped, I think that if it did anything, it made the ratings drop.

Why do I still watch LOST? Actually, I’m not sure. It pretty much sucks and is getting worse, judging by the last episode. But why can’t I stop watching it? Maybe it’s that I’m afraid they’ll tell us something. Maybe it’s that I want to see how bad the show can get. Maybe I want to see what lame way the writers end it when the show gets get canceled. Maybe I want to see if they get canceled at all. Whatever it is, it’s not that I like it.

Pollock!

We just got another dog on Saturday. Her name is Pollock, we named her that because it looks like Jackson Pollock painted her. At first Mom didn’t want to name her that, but she likes it now. Pollock is really sweet and pretty and cool.
