a little late, but…. Merry Christmas Everyone!

My Christmas was great. I even got into the holiday spirit on Christmas Eve, what it took was caroling. On Christmas Coleman woke me up, I opened up my presents. I got a socks for finding the Christmas pickle, a winter hat, a tan baseball hat, a running book, a running shirt (I’m probably forgetting something), and guitar books. When I opened them I was sort of confused, because I don’t have a guitar. Then I got it! Dad said it was because I played other people’s guitars so much. Then he asked where the fourth book was (there were only three) and said he forget to wrap it, and it was in the closet. Yeah. So I went and looked, and there was a guitar! I am so exited! I’ve already started to play in the book, and I sort of get it, I can read the notes, but sometimes it’s kind of confusing, because open notes on a trumpet are not open on the guitar. Then Lori came over, and I got picks, socks, a bracelet making thing, and pitch pipes for tuning my guitar. Then we went to our cousin’s house and we didn’t have a present opening time or anything, which I liked better, because there wasn’t so much waiting around. I got two scarves, a hat, a purse decorator thingey, and tips and chalk for pool ques. We were going to go to Grandma’s house, but she wasn’t feeling well, so on Tuesday we went there and I got a fleece. Yesterday I went to yoga, which I haven’t gone to in a while. It was fun. Then my Dad took me to Gazzelle so I could get new running shoes that were more supportive, so my stress fracture will heal, and won’t come back when I start running again. Then I went riding, and I had a good lesson. After that I went home so I could get out of my riding clothes and then I went to see “We Are Marshall” with my friends. The movie was good, but it was sad.

Christmas Eve

It’s Christmas Eve, I’m listening to Christmas music, but, alas, I’m not in the holiday spirit. Sigh. I don’t think I will be if it doesn’t snow. I don’t think it helps that I’m bored either. So far today, I’ve cleaned my room, checked my email, and listened to music. Exiting. I miss my friends so much.

I hope you are feeling joyful and Christmas-y.

Nobody’s reading my blog anymore..

Winter break has started, and it makes me sad. I miss my friends already. Sigh… two whole weeks without seeing them everyday. I could keep myself busy skiing, or sledding, but it’s fifty degrees outside, I don’t think that’s going to happen. My Dad had said that we could certainly go skiing, at least a couple times, and all he had to do was put the boat in the water. Ha.

I’m so proud!

Last week I had a really bad lesson. It was so bad someone else had to get on Guy for me. But this week I’ve had some awesome lessons. I’ve been getting Guy to go into the corners, and I’ve been keeping him cantering on the correct lead very well (or even cantering). The course this week is pretty hard too, it’s got tight turns, and two bending lines. In one, the fences are in a straight line, but the second one is turned. That was the only fence I’ve had a refusal on all week, and only one too.

Awesome.

This is my twenty-seventh post. Sad.

I had my first jump teams a couple weeks ago. I would have them today, but we have way to much Chistmas shopping to do. Last year, I think I made it to the third round twice. This time, I made it to the third round, but with no jumping faults, even in the rub round! It was my first time going clean (but then again, I am riding a different horse), and our team won.

I don’t get it

It’s forty degrees and raining. And not only is it raining now, but it will be for the next ten days. There are thirteen days until christmas, so the weather man better be wrong, or it needs to snow two feet in three days. What ever happened to the fanous Michigan winters? I should already have been skiing and sledding by now. At least a couple times. It hasn’t been looking very Christmassy, and my mood has been less and less Christmassy too.
