Salvation

Technology CAN save us!

We need to design tiny robotic bees, which can mimic real insect bees. By doing this bee keepers can help remove killer bee populations from city dwelling where they might attack people. Although some would say this is far-fetched, we are not that far off in understanding the bee population or their queen bee migrations. By developing tiny insect like Queen Bees which the bees will follow we can help divide hives and steer bees into areas where they can help us with our crop yields without killing little kids, pets and even adults.

I have no idea about the respectability of this site, but I went in search of information on anyone who might be looking for artificial means by which to pollinate our food crops. Tiny, pollinating robots! This is the answer. Now we don’t have to give up text messaging and chatting with friends on our cell phones while driving 80 mph down the highway. Techno-stress, here I come.

Social Robotic Bees to Prevent Killer Bee Attacks on Cities

Laura, take a look at the Sunset Magazine site. They have an article about befriending bees including a “bee box” to attrack them. They are the native bees that pollinate, not for honey production. While you are on that site, check into their recipe section. They have a great Irish brown bread recipe. I’ve made it twice since St. Patrick’s day and I’m getting ready to do it again. Really easy, uses plain non-fat yogurt for the moisture.

Dena, I love mix and pour breads. I’ll have to try that one. For a while, I was making all of our bread (part of my quest to rid our diet of HFCS). Maybe this new recipe will give me the jump start I need to get going on that again.

The bee house is also interesting and simple. I’ll have to hide it from Madeleine though.

Because Madeleine is resistant to encouraging stinging insects to inhabit our yard. She used to get stung more times each summer than I have in my whole life.

Barb, we need to get that Highlights web site to the original site Laura mentioned. We don’t need to “design tiny robotic bees” It has already been done. We just need to program the right waggle into them.
