Animal Farm

Ahhh, to own a farm in Orwell, Vermont. The decision regarding what to call one’s farm becomes so straight forward. Scott sent me this link to a blog about Diane St. Clair’s Animal Farm and her butter making business. According to the blogger, all one needs is a cool name and a good story to be able to sell butter for $75 a pound, delivered. To those of you who question butter being worth $75 a pound or even Diane’s more customary charge of $15 a pound just buy yourself some cream and start shaking (or break out your Kitchenaid® like I do).

Here is a picture of 3 of the St. Clair’s jersey cows, Dyedee, Petra, and Scooter from the Animal Farm website.

That must be some good butter.
Maybe we should start selling our eggs for $75 a dozen.
